Great food but forgetful service.

Good place to eat in Douglas. Always seems to be busy which says something about the food. Menu items are traditional but they do have Menudo and Pozole. Prices are reasonable but a little high for Douglas. They don't serve beer or wine, place is alcohol free. Everything seems clean and we'll maintained and the servers and hostess are very nice. Good place to visit if you are in the area.

I LOVE El Chef! Their green tomatillo sauce is unbeatable! If you're really hungry try a Bobby's burrito with green sauce♡♡♡♡

For authentic Mexican cuisine Douglas, Arizona has several places that can satisfy a discerning palate. El Chef is one of these restaurants. I give it four stars because of the space between tables too close to each other. On weekends it is not unusual to find El Chef completely full, elbow to elbow.

Very good. Service was slow.

Food was good but took 30 minutes to get to us. While waiting for our food waitress passed our table several times but never stopped to check on us or explain the delay.

My husband had the green chili and asada chimichanga and I had the asada chimichanga. The service and food were both great. Would definitely eat there again.

Absolutely great food nice people had a chicken burrito enchilada-style with green sauce. Best ever, good guacamole too. Prices were extremely reasonable. Good service and clean, can't wait to go back!

The reason that i love this place is because they will make any dish to your specifications. That's right! Anything on or off the menu, this restaurants truly caters to their customers. The friendly staff is amazing. The owners work there too. The place is decorated in gorgeous Mexican artwork. Did i say i loved this place?

About as authentic as you can get. I've been to some Mexican places that charge 12 bucks for a lunch that's about 1 step up from Taco Bell...This is NOT one of those. Like others have said, the Bobby burrito is a must try. Staff was attentive and place was clean. Will definitely be back.
